ACTIVE-INGREDIENT OF JANUMET 50 /1000MG 56 TAB

EACH coated tablet (tablet) contains 64.25 mg equivalent to 50 mg Sitagliptin and 1000 mg of metformin hydrochloride .

INDICATION OF JANUMET 50 /1000MG 56 TAB

Junumet is a prescription medicine that contains 2 prescription diabetes medicines , sitagliptin ( januvia) and metformin. Janumet can be used along with diet and exercise to lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. Janumet is not for people with type 1 of diabetes. Janumet is not for people with diabetic ketoacidosis ( increased ketones in your blood or urine) . If you have had pancreatitis ( inflammation of pancreas) in the past, it is not known if you have a higher chance of getting pancreatitis while you take janumet. It is known if janumet is safe and effective when used in children under 18 years of age.

DOSAGE OF JANUMET 50 /1000MG 56 TAB

Follow all directions given to you by your pharmacist or doctor carefully . They may differ from the information contained in this leaflet

Ask your pharmacist or doctor for help if you do not understand the instructions on the box .

The recommended dose is : –

Take janumet exactly as your doctor tells you. Your doctor will tell you how many junumet tablets to take and when you should take them. Your doctor may change your dose of janumet if needed. Your doctor may tell you to take janumet along with certain other diabetes medicines. Low blood sugar ( hypoglycemia) can happen more often when janumet is taken with certain other diabetes medicines. Take janumet with meals to help to lower your chance of having an upset stomach. Do not break or cut janumet tablets before swallowing. If can not swallowing. If you can not swallow janumet tablets whole, tell your doctor
. Continue to take janumet as long as your doctor tells you. If you take too much janumet, call your doctor or local poison control center right away. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If you do not remember until it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take 2 doses of janumet at the same time

CONTRA-INDICATION OF JANUMET 50 /1000MG 56 TAB

Do not take janumet if : your kidneys are not working properly. You are allergic to any of the ingredients in janumet. – symptoms of a serious allergic reaction to junumet may include : rash. Raised red patches on your skin ( hives) or, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and throat that may cause difficulty in breathing or swallowing. You have diabetic ketoacidosis.
