Analgesics
An analgesic or painkiller is any member of the group of drugs used to achieve analgesia and relief from pain.
Analgesic drugs act in various ways on the peripheral and central nervous systems. They are distinct from anesthetics which temporarily affect, and in some instances completely eliminate, sensation. Analgesics include paracetamol and Opioid drugs.
Paracetamol (acetaminophen)
Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen or APAP, is a medication used to treat pain and fever.
Opioids
Opioids are a class of drugs naturally found in the opium poppy plant that works in the brain to produce a variety of effects, including the relief of pain with many of these drugs.
