ACTIVE-INGREDIENT OF CLOZAPEX 25MG TAB

Each tablet contains: Clozapine25 mg.

INDICATION OF CLOZAPEX 25MG TAB

Schizophrenia: Clozapex is indicated in the management of severely ill schizophrenic patients who have failed to respond to other neuroleptic agents or who can not tolerate the adverse effects produced by those agents.

DOSAGE OF CLOZAPEX 25MG TAB

Follow all directions given to you by your pharmacist or doctor carefully . They may differ from the information contained in this leaflet

Ask your pharmacist or doctor for help if you do not understand the instructions on the box .

The recommended dose is : –

Oral, initially 25 mg one to two times a day, the dosage being increased in increments of 25 to 50 mg a day to achieve a dose of 300 to 450 mg a day by the end of two weeks. Subsequent dosage increment should not exceed 100 mg one or two times a week. Usual adult prescribing limits: up to 900 mg a day.

OVER-DOSAGE OF CLOZAPEX 25MG TAB

CONTRA-INDICATION OF CLOZAPEX 25MG TAB

Hypersensitivity to the drug; history of drug induced granulocytopenia – agranulocytosis: impaired bone marrow function; alcoholic and other toxic psychosis; drug intoxication; comatose conditions; circulatory collapse; CNS depression; severe hepatic, renal or cardiac disease. Clozapine use should be avoided in patients with closed-angle glaucoma.

Store at temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
