DERMATIN CREAM; clotrimazole, antifungals .

ACTIVE-INGREDIENT OF DERMATIN CREAM

Each 100 gm contains: Clotrimazole 1.00 g.

INDICATION OF DERMATIN CREAM

The range of indication is: 1- All dermatomycoses due to dermatophytes ( e.g. Trichophyton species ). 2- All dermatomycoses due to yeasts ( e.g. Candida species ) . 3- Dermatomycoses due to moulds and other fungi. 4- Skin diseases with secondary infection by these fungi. The dermatomycoses mentioned under 1 – 4 include among others : 1- Mycoses of the skin and skin folds. 2- Interdigital mycoses (e.g. athlete’s foot). 3- Candida vulvitis. 4- Candida balanitis. 5- Pityriasis(Tinea) versicolor. 6- Erythrasma. 7- Otomycosis. 8- Paronchias associated with nail mycoses.

DOSAGE OF DERMATIN CREAM

The recommended dose is : –

A sufficient amount is applied to the infected areas 2-3 times daily and gently rubbed in. The duration of treatment varies according to the site and extent of the infection. In dermatomycoses and yeasts 3-4 weeks; In Candida vulvitis and Candida balanitis 1-2 weeks; In Erythrasma approximately 2-4 weeks; In Pityriasis versicolor approximately 1-3 weeks; Athlet’s foot : Always dry the feet carefully, especially between the toes. Treatment of fungal infection should be continued for approximately 2 weeks after the disappearance of all symptoms in order to prevent relapse. Dermatin preparations can be washed off and do not stain.

Possible hypersensitivity to Clotrimazole or any of the excipients.

STORAGE OF DERMATIN CREAM

Store at temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of the reach of children.
