TRIACTIN; cyproheptadine, respiratory tract agents .
ACTIVE-INGREDIENT OF TRIACTIN TAB
Each tablet contains: Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride 4 mg.
INDICATION OF TRIACTIN
Allergic and itchy conditions of the skin such as: urticaria, cold urticaria (usually resistant to other antihistamines, eczema, neurodermatitis, etc.) Allergic and vasomotor rhinitis. Allergic conjunctivitis and contact dermatitis of the eyelids. To amerliorate allergic reaction reaction to drugs, serum and blood. In conjunction with adrenaline, steroids, etc. in the treatment of anaphylactoid reaction after the acute symptoms have been controlled. As a prophylactic measure in migraine and cluster headache. As an appetite stimulant.
DOSAGE OF TRIACTIN

The recommended dose is : –
Adults: Average daily dose: 1 tablet 3 – 4 times. Maximum daily dose: 8 tablets given in divided doses. Children: 7-14 years: Average daily dose: 1 tablet 2 – 3 times. Maximun daily dose: 4 tablets given in divided doses.
OVER-DOSAGE OF TRIACTIN
CONTRA-INDICATION OF TRIACTIN
Hypersensitivity to Cyproheptadine or similar drugs. Asthma and other lower respiratory tract infections. Narrow angle glaucoma, obstructive bowel diseases, and prostatic hypertrophy. To be used in elderly of debilitated patients, in newborns or in nursing mothers.
STORAGE OF TRIACTIN
Protected from heat and light.
