What is Nplate used for?
Nplate® is a treatment for low platelet counts in adults and children with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) when other treatments or medicines have not worked well enough
Why is it used
It is used in cases of idiopathic thrombocytopenia that do not respond to corticosteroid therapy, immunoglobulin therapy, or splenectomy. This condition is an autoimmune disease that causes platelet deficiency and is more common in women.
Contraindications NPLATE 250MG 1 VIAL
It is forbidden to use the drug for patients who suffer from hypersensitivity to romiplostim or any of its components. It is forbidden to use the drug for women who are breastfeeding or pregnant, for 24 hours in the case of chemotherapy.
What is NPLATE 250MG 1 VIAL Dosage and Methods of Use?
According to the doctor’s instructions, the dose is usually: an initial dose of 1 mg per kg by subcutaneous injection according to body weight.
